Setting: It is Tuesday, October 28th, 2008, and the Zydeco Anonymous group is meeting in St. Matthew's Parish Hall for its twentieth and possibly last session. Based on traditional twelve-step programs, the group has met weekly to try to put Zydeco dancing into a more manageable perspective. It felt like things were out of control to the members when the group began on Tuesday, June 17th.

They are the normal mix of Zydecurs & Zydecettes: College Professors, Massage Therapists, Retired Teachers, Ex-Nuns, Recreation Therapists and Handymen. Different tracks, but stopped at the same station...Zydeco Nation!

Many thanks to the management and staff at The Mermaid Inn for opening their unique venue to us! Thanks to all of the Dancers who shared their insights and experiences used in the play. And a special thanks to Bill W for showing us the way!
